Getting started with StaySeen

Download & create your account

Download StaySeen from the App Store. Sign up with your email and create a secure account in seconds.

Build your trusted circle

Invite friends or family by email. Once they accept, you're connected. Only people you approve can ever see your location.

Toggle Safety Mode when needed

Heading somewhere unfamiliar or walking home late? Turn on Safety Mode and your live GPS location is shared with your trusted circle in real time. Turn it off whenever you want.

Use Panic in an emergency

One tap on the Panic button sends an instant alert with your exact GPS coordinates to every trusted friend via push notification and email. A timestamped record is created automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is my location tracked all the time?

No. Your location is only shared when you actively turn on Safety Mode. There is no background tracking. When Safety Mode is off, no one can see your location.

Who can see my location?

Only people you've added to your trusted circle and who have accepted your invitation. You have full control over who is in your circle and can remove anyone at any time.

What happens when I press Panic?

Every person in your trusted circle receives an immediate push notification and email with your exact GPS location. A GPS-stamped record is also created for accountability. Safety Mode is automatically activated if it wasn't already on.

Is StaySeen free to use?

Yes. StaySeen's core safety features are completely free. We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, regardless of budget.

Does it work on Android?

StaySeen is currently available on iOS. An Android version is in development and coming soon.

How do I remove someone from my trusted circle?

Go to the Friends tab, tap on the person you want to remove, and select "Remove from circle." They will immediately lose access to your location and will not be notified.

Can I use StaySeen without an internet connection?

StaySeen requires an internet connection to share your location and send panic alerts. If you lose connection, the app will attempt to send your last known location when you reconnect.

How is my data protected?

Your location data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Location history is only stored when Safety Mode is active and is automatically deleted after a set period.
